gc-1Hello my name is Gary Cochran and here is some information about my driving instructing career. I qualified as an Approved Driving Instructor (A.D.l.) in 1991.

I started my training as a kind of hobby in December 1989 with The Driving Force School of Motoring who were based in Govanhill, Glasgow.

I was in full employment at the time so was in no real hurry to do the A.D.I. course so took my time and passed the final (Part 3) test in May 1991.

l took a few months to decide what I was going to do career wise but finally decided on driving instruction and took up employment with The Driving Force in September 1991. This school covered the whole of Glasgow and I worked there for 18 months before starting out on my own in Irvine early in 1993.

I have been covering the Irvine area, including Kilwinning, Stevenston, Saltcoats and now Troon, ever since.

I operate on a full time basis so lessons are available morning, noon and night and also at the weekends.

I am currently registered as a Grade A instructor under the Driving Standards Agency Standards Check system.  My last Standards Check was held in September 2018 where I gained a Grade A pass.

There have been, up to the end of 2019,  1081 people who have passed their test with myself.  See the ‘Pass History’ section of this website for full details of these.

If you are interested in taking lessons with myself and join the above number then please don’t hesitate to call or text me on 07743716940 or e-mail me at gary@garycochran.co.uk.

Thanks for taking the time to visit this website.
